Questions
Short answers
If yours isn't here, call or send a message.
What happens at a first visit?
You start with a consultation: a conversation and a look at your skin by the window. If you booked the ninety-minute first visit, a custom facial follows.
How long is a visit?
From fifteen minutes for an add-on to ninety for a first visit. Every service on the menu lists its time.
Do I need a consultation?
Yes, for your first visit and before any peel. It's how Valarie plans the rest, and no peel is done at it.
Why is a peel planned differently for deeper skin tones?
Skin with deeper tones can react to a peel in its own way and hold on to a reaction. Valarie goes slowly, does a patch test first and writes down sun notes for you.
What if my skin is breaking out on the day?
Tell us when you book or when you arrive. Valarie may change the visit, or suggest waiting for a day your skin is calmer.
How often should I come?
Valarie suggests a schedule at your consultation, and you can change it as your skin does. Peels are booked one visit at a time, a few weeks apart.
What should I do before and after a visit?
Valarie tells you at booking what to pause, and writes down what to do afterward before you leave.
Who should ask a doctor first?
If you're pregnant, use a prescription skin medicine or have a skin condition a doctor is managing, ask your doctor before booking a peel.
When will Valarie suggest a dermatologist?
When she sees something outside what she does, such as skin that is sore or broken, or a change she can't explain. She'll say so plainly and won't go ahead.
How does pricing work?
Valarie sets the price by length and what you add, and it shows on the booking page when you choose a service. The pricing page explains the rest.
